HERE TO HELP
When you contact the surgery, we want to make sure that you get the right treatment from the most suitable clinician - GP, Advanced Nurse practitioner or nurse. Your question may even be able to be answered quickly by one of our office staff. That is why we are now asking patients to give us a brief description of their request. It can be in only two words to protect your confidentiality, save time and help us to help you quickly. Examples like "Back pain", "prescription query", "upset stomach", "skin rash" will allow us to deal with your concerns efficiently. Many of our calls can be sorted out by people other than your own GP and this is why we are asking you this question. If you do not wish to give an answer, then we will respect this.
Katie Brutnell has joined the surgery to work on Thursdays carrying out home visits. She is working for our local collaboration with other practices in Suffolk, called Coast and Country Primary Care.
Electronic Prescribing Service
The practice is now offering "EPS" - Electronic Prescriptions
Patients can now request their prescription to be electronically sent to a Pharmacy of their choice. Example: If you live in Needham Market area but work in Ipswich you can nominate to collect your medication from a pharmacy near your workplace. This service will not effect patients that use our in house Dispensary. For more details please ask at Reception or click on the link below:

Care Quality Commission
Our practice has recently been reviewed by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) (https://www.cqc.org.uk/), the independent regulator of health and social care in England. One of their core aims is to ensure GPs provide effective, caring and responsive services and to identify and encourage improvements.
We are pleased to announce that we have been given good ratings for delivering on our patient’s needs and ensure their care is assessed, tailored and delivered according to best practice guidelines. We’re proud to be recognised for our caring, compassionate and effective approach, as well as for proactively seeking feedback from patients to continually improve. We are also pleased that our service has been rated good for being safe and well led
All of our patients who gave independent feedback to the CQC were positive about our practice, specifically praising the confidence they have in our supportive, convenient, professional and effective service. The CQC viewed our free dispensary delivery service as an example of outstanding practice.
