Care Quality Commission
Our practice has recently been reviewed by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) (https://www.cqc.org.uk/), the independent regulator of health and social care in England. One of their core aims is to ensure GPs provide effective, caring and responsive services and to identify and encourage improvements.
We are pleased to announce that we have been given good ratings for delivering on our patient’s needs and ensure their care is assessed, tailored and delivered according to best practice guidelines. We’re proud to be recognised for our caring, compassionate and effective approach, as well as for proactively seeking feedback from patients to continually improve.
All of our patients who gave independent feedback to the CQC were positive about our practice, specifically praising the confidence they have in our supportive, convenient, professional and effective service. The CQC viewed our free dispensary delivery service as an example of outstanding practice.
As with many organisations there is always room for improvement and the CQC have highlighted some non-clinical areas that we need to focus on. We want to reassure our patients that we are working very hard to address these issues and remain committed to providing a safe, caring and effective service.
